English and Grammar on BBC.
bbc have always pushed dialects, multi-culturism and scorned the so called "upper class" English of the 1950's. They have also filled their junior and lower posts with hangers-on and relatives which is why, like our education system, English as it should be spoken is in freefall.
You may have noticed that some of the best English speakers on bbc are educated women of the ethnic minorities, who take great care to speak it properly, even when under pressure.
As for bbc grammer, the less said the better - but radio 4 has at least 3 errors per day and no bbc commentator seems to be able to pronounce the Russian President's name correctly.
By the way "boiling water for only a few minuets" - Chopin or Liszt??
